Your first step

You don’t know it yet, but every day of your life there is some adventure waiting to be had or happening to you. Don’t worry, you aren’t being a hippy or a self-help guru; you are just going to write about crazy funny ridiculous tragic serene surreal shit that happens every day. You are not unique. Despite all the stuff you hear about everyone being like a snowflake, you know goddamn good and well there are snowflakes out there that are exactly the fucking same as one another. Basically, Sociology tried to tell you that, too–that you’re not unique–but you prickled at the idea. Well, it’s fucking true. And that’s why this same shit happens all the time to all sorts of other people every day all day, but you think you are smart and funny and clever (and wonder if clever isn’t just the same as smart or maybe smart and funny combined and you would usually look this shit up in a dictionary but you’re not fuckin gonna because you don’t fuckin wanna) and maybe you have some sort of insight and see things in a different way or have a better ability to convey what you saw (the crazy funny ridiculous tragic serene surreal). You are not unique. But fuck it. You are going to write it down and make people smile.
